The Norwegian company Statkraft and the German company E.ON have entered an agreement which means that businesses and assets for 80 billion SEK are changing owners. Statkraft will exchange its 44.6% share of stocks in E.ON Sverige AB and a hydropower plant in Sweden for:
- shares in E:ON AG
- 40 hydropower plants in Sweden
- five heat assets in Sweden
- two gas power plants
- 11 hydropower plants in Germany
- shares in two biomass power station in Germany
- structured gas and electricity supply (VPP) contract
- one hydropower plant in the United Kingdom
The closing of the transaction between Statkraft and E.ON is expected to be in the end of 2008, given that the Competition Authorities approves the transaction.
Statkraft was advised by Gernandt & Danielsson through the partners Anders Wallén and Bob Johanson who are in charge of the transaction together with the associates Joakim Brännström (Real Estate and Environmental Law issues) and Marcus Nivinger (Company Law). Also, a large number of other associates of the firm took part in the transaction.
